In Denial

Hey Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend. I had a pretty good one, played some pool with some mates, went to Beerfest Saturday (and drank Cider haha) went to a mates party Saturday night went out for lunch Sunday and caught a mates band play, not bad! Unfortunately this week I have to work 6 days in a row so my weekend will be Sunday/Monday instead!

Its Autumn here in New Zealand now and I'm just not ready for cold weather :( These photos are from awhile ago, with having no internet for three weeks and all my travels I'm a tad behind! Its hard looking at summery outfits, I'm trying to drag them out for as long as possible!!

My First Time - Rock Gods & Melbourne

Hey Everyone, its finally Friday whoo hoo! Todays post is rather picture heavy hehe. After Eminem I stayed in Auckland and worked for a few days then went to a Festival type thing called West Fest. It was held at Vector Arena in the city and there were two stages with multiple bands. It was over Wednesday and Thursday night. There were a number of bands I haven't heard of, however for me my top two were the headliners - Rob Zombie and Korn!!!!!!!

Now let me tell you a bit about me and Korn....they are probably my number one band. I've loved them since I was a very young teenager when I listened to them repeatedly! I kinda lost interest after their album Issues but their latest album The Paradigm Shift sparked my interest back up again, then I found out they were coming to New Zealand eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. So anywho seeing Korn live for the very first time....BLEW. MY. FUCKING. MIND. Words cant really explain it but it was epic! Rob Zombie was good too and I found a new band to listen to - Five Finger Death Punch.

After Westfest I headed back home to Christchurch then a bunch of mates and I flew to Melbourne to go to our first Soundwave Festival. My friend who I've known since I was 11 lives there and none of us had been so it was a trip of firsts! Soundwave was amazing, such a huge festival, so many stages and bands, food, drink, stalls. I saw a lot of bands including Placebo, Avenged Sevenfold, Green Day, and Korn again hehe. I also got to meet Phil Anselmo!!!!! If you don't know him then.....you clearly aren't into rock/metal music haha. It was pretty damn amazing and he pretty much said I was hot teehee.

Melbourne was great, its a nice city, very multicultural. We ventured to St Kilda, the city and surrounding suburbs. I'd love to go back one day!

Lastly after I got back from Melbourne I flew back up to Auckland to see Down live!! I didn't get to see them at Soundwave as they were on at the same time as Korn but again pretty damn amazing! Now Its been weeks without a concert and I'm feeling the urge again haha. Think I'll save it for Europe/UK and go to some sweet festivals!

Now feast your eyes on some snippets of what I got up to below!
