Easter Adventures

Hi Lovelies, Happy Good Friday! As you know we are currently in Auckland for a wee holiday with my parents who live here. Yesterday James and I hopped on a ferry and went over to Waiheke Island, about a 35 minute ferry ride away from Auckland. The island is actually quite large. When we got there we walked about 1km to Oneroa township and had a look around, we then caught a bus to Onetangi and visited the Saratoga Winery and Wild on Waiheke where we partook in Archery and Laser Clay bird shooting, along with wine tastings and a yummy lunch! After relaxing in the sun we caught a bus back to the ferry and back home. It was a nice way to spend a day for sure, would love to go back and explore more!

Check out some pictures from yesterdays adventures:

All in all a lovely day. Today is Good Friday here in New Zealand and so far we are just chilling and enjoying the view from Mum and Dads, being a public holiday there isn't much open so its nice to just relax and not do a lot every now and again!

Happy Good Friday Lovelies!xxx

Cropping It

Hello from Auckland lovelies! The weather is a tad warmer up here which is great, going to get the last whisps of summer while I can! Today we ventured down to Orewa township on the North Shore and checked out Silverdale. We got some delish Movenpick Ice cream and wandered for a bit on the beach. I drove for the first time in Auckland and didn't get lost yay! We saw a gnarly crash on the way home from the airport on the motorway, was a bit scary to see.

I thought I would try out the whole crop top thing and bust out my pasty white stomach :P I'm not 100% sold on the look for me, but hey, good to get out of your comfort zone every now and again right?

I won a giveaway recently and just got it in the mail today - exciting! Its a bright pink lipstick. As you know I'm not a huge lipstick wearer so will be interesting to see what I look like with it on haha. I also got a Boohoo haul in yesterday so will style those up soon, unfortunately one dress is farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr too short so I will have to on sell :( I'm not even that tall so I don't understand why they are so short!

Re Start Mall

Hi Lovelies, how was your weekend? Mine was pretty good, went to a mates Friday night for a few wines and a spa, got some stuff done around home Saturday, date night with the bg Saturday night, a yummy stone grill meal followed by a DVD in. Sunday we were up early to do the annual City to Surf. We walked 5 km's and ran the last K. I don't think my knee would handle doing the full 14km! After that we went to a good mates wee boys 3rd Birthday! Kinda ruined the excersise I did with all the cake and lollies haha.
Awhile ago the bf and I decided to go check out the Re Start Mall in central Christchurch. The city centre as you all probably know was destroyed by the Earthquake and over two years later is still partly blocked off, ruins remain and ALOT of empty sections. Cashel Mall as it used to be called was a street for pedestrians that housed most of the central city shopping (along with surreounding streets). It was basically out of order for along time. Today it is a "pop up" type container mall! Its nice and bright and vibrant and there is some great shops and cafe's etc in there. We went for a wander and some lunch. Take a look below and what we saw and some outfit photos too of course!

This used to be all bars along what we called "the Strip"

The Iconic Bridge of Rememberance still stands at the end of the mall

A container ATM!

Ruins, The Rockpool used to be an awesome pool bar that sold "tea pots" and played great Drum n Bass, many a good time spent there

Looking down the mall towards the centre

Outfit pics! Casual outfit for walking around :)
